I have a 1989, CVA Mountain Rifle, 50 cal.,Very hard dark real walnut stock, pewter hardware, chrome lined bore, this gun is a real shooter, 3" @ 100 yards, patched rb, I am the original owner, would like any info on the value of this gun, I have never seen another like it. It has been well taken care of, and has never had any oil base lubes in the bore, I would apreciate any info or input ya'll have, thanks

without pictures its hard to say. In excellent condition you can expect $350 on up to $500. They have really been gaining in value over the past 3 - 4 years.

It'll never sell for 5, even 350 is a push
I got one two years ago from the original owner for 165 shipped.
It really depends on location too, some areas like here in MN have plenty of trad ML's on the market,
SE has ALOT,
North West has few,,
Chrome lined bore?  ???  Never seen a MR with Chrome,, Very bright clean steel Yes, but never chrome.

If you want to sell, You could get $300-325 in the right market.
found elsewhere

Necchi has it right.   None of the CVA MR's ever had chrome lined barrels.   Your '89 is a last generation MR and does have the walnut stock and no patch box.  In todays economy it's only worth what somebody will pay for it, and I do agree price equates to where in this country also as necchi said.

I have no idea what I'd be willing to take for my very eary maple stocked 45 MR, but I sure wouldn't give it away despite the common misinformation most have about the so called Made in America MR's like this one.

Old, crap picture of it...
