Small Bore Question
« on: June 27, 2012, 07:32:52 AM »
To shoot small bore production class, is it legale to use a peep sight? I read the rules and do not understand about a "covered rear sight." I have a 10" Contender .22 match barrel that I would like to set up. Looking at a Ken Light set up with a Williams Peep sight, or do I need to go with a open notch?

the rule like most is a little_______
but yes
I have one set up with a Steve Martens hooded front and the rear is is a Williams FP-T/C-TK
on his spacer mount (raises the williams up ) Steve is VP of IHMSA   and on his web site states production legal

I have shot the gun in
IHMSA  SB unlimited
IHMSA  SB production
and plan on shooting it in SB standing Production

also NRA SB hunter pistol

as far as the Ken light set up I would ask him to make sure his is
one thing to watch is weight (22 barrels are heaver ) I use pach. grips and for arm and mine is 1 ounce under the limit for pro. and the full rib could cause a problem
If I can help just e-mail me
