Need help Identifying some ammo
« on: July 14, 2012, 08:36:52 AM »
I came across a box off random ammo some old, some new, and some wildcats. Does anyone have any idea what these are?
375 Win. shortened to 1.61 inch.
30-40 Krag necked down to .22 cal and trimmed to 2.285 inch.
22 Hornet with the rim turned down to .305, case length of 1.152, and taper removed to make a straight wall case .247 diameter. Could this be a 22 Squirrel maybe.
22 hornet case, I think, loaded with a .20 cal bullet, rim diameter of .315, 1.022 length with a shoulder

I think the shortened 375 case was made up for steel silhouette shooting beyond that its a guess. Frank
