Having a "Donation Thread" For GBO & Helping Out GBO Folks?

Wondering if the GB would be interested in having a thread "donation thread" Where folks could auction off there items/goods and donate the proceeds to GBO or a GBO member in need. I know many may have 25pc, 50pc of this and that and instead of selling just put up the lot or items for a good cause.
Be like the "pay it forward thread" with donations.

I have no problem with that. In fact several members have done that by posting their items on the classifieds and designating either all or part of the sale price as a donation.

It's a nice thought and we have many goodhearted souls here who have generously stepped up to help hurting folks from the forums in the past.

Maybe the "Pay it Forward " forum could morph into something of the sort.  Recipients of donated items could contribute a monetary gift which could be banked in some sort of escrow account.   

Some logistics would have to be worked out such as: 
1. Who would organize and monitor the forum and act as treasurer(s)? 
2. Who would choose who the benefactors would be and the amount distributed?
3. What would be the criteria? 
4. Should 2 and 3 above be decided by committee,  open vote, secret ballet?

Let's hear other's thoughts on this.

I was thinkin' who ever sold the item would send the funds directly to GBO or the listed
party specified in the ad. I know some folks like to hold the goods till they
get the funds.
