2006 gmc yukon

i have a 2006 gmc yukon and it is throwing a warning on the dash that says ''service 4wd''. it seems when it gets really hot inside the cab, it goes into auto or 4wd high and wont shift out of it until you cool off the inside, im thinking its probably electronic, anyone have the same problem?

Ive heard of lots of problems with the solonoids that control the 4wd enguagement on the push button 4x4 models.

The indash switch is prone to failure.  A quick easy and cheap fix in most cases.  The switch will test good in most cases and still be junk.
