Accuracy of 357 mag with choke
« on: June 23, 2012, 02:37:19 PM »
Found a deal on a 357 Mag 10" Octagon barrel with choke tube.
I don't care to use the choke tube for bird shot, so it is of no interest to me and will be removed.
Question is, how accurate are these barrels shooting jacketed bullets ?
How effective are the muzzle brake on these barrels?
Thanks,tc

"Question is, how accurate are these barrels shooting jacketed bullets ?"

I've had 2 over the years that were extremely accurate.

"How effective are the muzzle brake on these barrels?"

Absolutely zero.  It's wide open at the end, there is no 'orifice' at the end to make an expansion chamber work.
