too many blankity-blank choices !@#!?!
« on: June 29, 2012, 01:50:15 PM »
A southern ohio hunt preserve is running a special on hogs in July.  The place is 200 miles from my house which is my maximum one way travel limit given my medical and better half restrictions. >:(   Okay so I plunk down the reserve money, scheduled a date now all I gotta do is pick a gun.  WHICH ONE! :o    Just loaded 20 rounds for the 50-70 but what about the 44 Bodeen or the 45-120 or the 308x444 or the????  This is NUTZ!  And what about the MZs and the repeaters or maybe even a pointy stick flinger or hand-cannon?!?!?   AaaaaaaaahhhhhH!!!!

Well we could make the decision much easier by selling all but ONE Handi! ;) It would make going hunting or shooting a lot easier, plus it would give us more money to donate to Obamammy's Health care fisaco! :o

Look, this is really not that difficult, you just have to create a schedule, like you would for various kids sporting events. You start with whichever has the best sights for dim light in the morning. Then comes coffee break, some danish, and you switch to a longer range gun, then comes lunch, after which you feel like a nap, so you take the most cuddly gun with you. After the siesta you are refreshed, so you get out the heaviest, hardest bouncing. Then supper, after which you wax nostalgic, the last sunset and all that, so you get out the most traditional, old time caliber. You need to take at least 5, and if you go more than one day......there you are.

Thanks for the input!

Just taking two rifles

Primary - 44 Bodeen with 310 grain LWNGC - very hard cast @ 2300 fps

Backup - 50-70 with 450 grain LFN - NOT very hard cast @ 1200 fps

I assume this decision will change several times before I go. :P
