New 45 for me
« on: August 15, 2012, 02:08:06 AM »
Just ordered a new FNP-45 yesterday. Being a southpaw, I needed all the ambi I could find. This one has it all except the takedown lever. Not to mention, it carries 14-15 rounds of ammo. Made in the USA, too.

I've never looked into that name brand but hope it is all you need. There's just something about a new 45 eh?

Fabrique National has an excellent reputation for quality.  The FNP sounds like it would be larger than I personally would want, and I still have a scar on my trigger finger from the only polymer framed large caliber pistol I fired.  However, that looks like just what you are wanting with all the ambi controls.  Let us know how it shoots when you bring it home.

I shot three magfuls thru it with three different loads with no problems. The only gripe I have is that the last 3-4 rounds are a real pain to get in the mags. I ordered a mag loader yesterday, my thumb is sore! ;)  Will get some range time this weekend, weather permitting (Isaac).
