I'm considering buying a 7mm-08 barrel for my encore.  Anyone have any comments I will surely appreciate them.

I have a 24 inch rifle taper barrel with sights and also a scope. I love it, is about a twin to the 7x57 ballistic wise and also much easier to find ammo for if you dont reload. If you reload there are a whole range of bullets to choose from. I think you will like the 7mm08.

I have the 24" with a Nikon Monarch mounted on it.  The last deer I shot was with it.  200 yard lung shot on a deer that dressed 145lbs, and he was down in less than 20 yards.

It shoots just like my 243 - low recoil, flat trajectory and always hits where I'm aiming.  I would say the 7mm-08 and 243 are my favorite (factory) rounds for hunting anything between 10-150 pounds.
The problem with troubleshooting is....sometimes it shoots back!
