Speed trap warning sign gets woman arrested

They will probably have to double their number of speed traps for a while to pay for her law suit!

Proving once again that it's not about safety or complience with the law it's about generation of revenue for the government.

Would the ACLU actually do something positive here if her story holds up? :-\

Dont  see   any   difference   in   what   she   did   ,   to   flashing   your   headlights    to   warn    others   of   a   speedtrap  ahead  .  Im   guilty   as   charged.

I've used the headlights and the CB when I had one installed.
I'm more concerned over the Lane switching idiot and the tail gaiter then a guy doing 10+ over.
The other criteria I use is the location of the speed trap  I E at the bottom of a longer grade where even a Cruise Control will make you go over the set limit.

Really this woman was doing an act of keeping the roads safe.
Even if there wasn't a speed trap ahead most drivers would slow down when seeing her warn them.

They ought to be honest and write the ticket as it really is, and drop the nonsense about safety blah blah blah:
"This citizen undermined our ability to generate revenoo, and invaded our hallowed speed trap turf, we're not gonna put up with that, and we'll show YOU who's boss!!"
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Years ago before I grew up and knew what I wanted to be I tried law enforcement. There was no need to hide and try to catch speeders you could park out in the open with a clear field of view from both directions and catch speeders. It was just too easy. Only the lazy hid behind things. Best ticket I wrote was at 8 am, 65mph in a school zone. Principal was worried about being late. He was exactly 10 minutes later than he had planned after I wrote him a ticket.

Sounds like they missed their chance to use the old "going stupid with intent" charge. ;)
