I'm back HOME, and hoping to get back to my GBO friends.
« on: June 10, 2012, 09:37:19 AM »
Well, after 3 years away from GBO, I've finally found time to get back on the forum.
A lot has happened since I was last on..... I retired from the Army, survived being at home with my "new" son for a year while my wife deployed to Afghanistan, moved back to Texas forever, and had another son this year.  I've even found time to get back into hunting, fishing and building AR-15s.

I'm sure things have changed here on GBO since I was last on, but I'm also certain there are still a bunch of great folks here.

NOW... I have about 3 years worth of posts to go through so I can see what i missed.

Welcome back to GBO. This is a great place. Pull up a chair and sit a spell.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.  I am FROM Seguin (about 30 minutes east of San Antonio), but living on the NW side of SA until my wife and I scrape up the money to buy my old homestead from my grandmother.

It's kind of funny running into old friends and schoolmates who never left the area.  Most don't even realize their is a whole other world out there.  It does feel good being able to relax and let my guard down around friends and family.  I spent 20 years living the "what is the REAL truth" mentality.  These "simple folk" make life a lot more enjoyable and remind me that true friends are worth their weight in gold.
