forgot to add that with zero percent mortality and fifty percent of the piglets being female, their numbers will top three billion in ten years.
where are they at?

  Flash;
  What if any, is your connection with Tioga boar ranch ?  I can understand their concern (financial) but yours I must question,  ....unless you are Tioga boar ranch..

Seems like we got a little off topic at times.....but good debate , ehh .  Just to throw a little more fuel to the fire.......I was at Tioga several years ago  (my avatar pic with hog from tioga ), we shot 3 hoggs. Two males and one female.  Both boars ( including mine in the pic ) had been neutered......as in " no nuts ".  Being a little surprised my "boar" didn't have any testicals.......I asked , " hey , what the ".....according to the gentleman at Tioga , ..His hoggs were coming from the Carolinas and some from Florida.  When they would cross state lines ( I'm not sure what state line ) the boars were neutered and blood was drawn and tested from all hoggs.  If there was any problems with the bloodwork......the hoggs were destroyed on the spot.  I know , lots of questions arise about this information....all I can say is......that's what I was told. The people I met and spoke to at Tioga seemed honest and trustworthy....I belive them.

I took my two boys on this hunt......as manofthe45 said..its more of a shoot , but we did have fun . Time spent with family is  , well , priceless !  We DID NOT shoot anything that was cornered or trapped in by the fence.

 And thats the way I see it.......

   I have about 4 miles from my house, a farmer who has a herd of about 70 buffalos..on about 200 acres, 1/2 wooded.  For some $$$ a "sportsman" can hunt one of those big, beautiful bulls.
  Really a tough job..hunting a herd of 70 buffalo on 200 acres..but I suppose after days & days of trekking through the wilderness, they may just get a shot...and bring home a beautiful "trophy".. ;)

  Ok guys.....I love to hunt and I love pork! I'm sure I'm not the only one on this site that would like to put a pig in the freezer. What would it take to set up a hunt. I live 30 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Hey ironglow ,
  I already stated...the facts about the " hunt ".  Personally , I got a thrill watching my boys shooting their hoggs with a bow.  Thats what its about.....having good times with family. If you don't like it.....so be it.  But don't you dare scrutinize me for spending time with my family on a " hunt " that I could afford.  As stated before, I enjoyed Tioga , would I do it again....probably not , but I did enjoy the experience.

Instead of bashing those of us that have hunted high fences....why not contribute something worthwhile to the post.....Do you know anything about the hoggs being neutered ??  How about the sampling of the blood ??

Bingo ,  If your interested , just go to Tioga Boar Hunting ....should take you to their site.  Just tell them your interested in a fair chase hunt.  We had as good a hunt as you can get , considering its a game preserve ( high fence )

manofthe45 , I'm the OP , I think its time to lock this one up , sorry to have created this mess. I don't need people bashing my integerity or ethics,  Thanks

I will lock it, but honestly I just wish two grown adults could act like adults and leave the personal BS out
