Cast Bullets for a .44 Mag

Here's a good question. What type of load should I use on a semi wadcutter for the 44 mag? I have reloaded for a while now, but this issue never came up. I have been using XTPs and Montana Gold, but I'm tryin to save some money. If anyone has any input or can point me to a load data source, please do. Keep in mind I already have a list of cowboy loads. I am interested in shooting magnum loads. Thanks.

In the .44 Magnum with any 240 grain bullet I use 24.0 grains of either W296 or H110 which are the same powder. Works in every .44 mag I've owned or shot.

 I appreciate the quick reply. I use 24.0 gr of H110 currently, its a great load. I just didnt know if it would be too much on cast bullets. I sincerely appreciate you.

any reloading manual load for a jacketed bullet will work with a hard cast bullet if your using soft swaged or bullets cast out of soft lead stick with loading data for the .44 special.

I've had good results with the Lyman #429244, a gas check bullet that weighs 250 gr. when cast from wheelweights + 2% tin. I use 22 gr. of the old Alliant 2400. I've read to cut back to 21 gr. for the new Alliant 2400. This load usually gives very good accuracy in every gun I've tried it in. This bullet has a fairly large meplat and does well on game. I'm sure a LBT, 250-260 WFN or LFN bullet would also work great.

WHAT DO YOU THINK I JUST ORDERED A MASTER CASTER AND SOME MOULDS FROM MAGMA .
THEY HAVE A GOOD CHOUSE OF BULLET MOULDS  BUT NO ONE WILL TAKE
GAS CHECKS SO I HAD TO ORDER THE MOULDS FROM  RCBS.
BECAUSE I WONTED THE 9mm //.357Mag //AND  .44Mag // WITH
GAS CHECKS I THINK GAS CHECKS WILL MAKE A DIFFERANCE IN GRUPPING. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
