Model 11 questions?
« on: September 04, 2012, 05:14:04 PM »
I'm thinking of getting the one with the nikon 3x9x40 bdc scope maybe .308. Are they very reliable and accurate guns?

I have owned many Savage rifles and continue to buy because I find Savage to be about the best bang for you money.  I have yet to have one the isn't a shooter.

Well I stopped by the local gun store today and walked out with a model 11 in 243.  The scope is one of the Nikon 3x9x40 with the BDC.  I only had 4 hand loads for 243 so my first range report is limited but here is what happened.  My method of bore sighting was a little off on the first so I shot a little wide on the first shot.  I made an adjustment to get on paper on the next three shots.   The next three produced only one hole!  Again, not a lot of data but it really has me fired up!!!
