Just a reminder that the Spring deadline for the Postal shot is June 5.

Get your targets submitted.  Don't drag you feet, as tentatively it is looking like the Fall postal will be be cancelled.

This is news to me, I didn't know anything about June 5th. I was very preoccupied with other matters during Jan. and Feb., so I missed this. How did it come about that we ended up with June 5th as the deadline?
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

We wanted to try to have two matches this year so the first one had to end sometime in June.  June 5 gives a few weeks for a last minute extension.   ;D

There will be no extension.  There are teams in Scotland, England and South Africa shooting this postal match targeting to the deadline.

All right, Douglas! I had already resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't going to be able to participate in this years shoot, but now a second chance.

Because of the over whelming lack of interest...I know the Brits are interested and the South Africans  are interested, but hardly anyone here seems to care.

Besides I won't be here to ramrod it next year.

It doesn't matter if it's just you, me and Ernie, we'll be like an elite force, aristocrats on the firing line, we don't know the meaning of the word quit. Onward Christian soldier - Never say never - Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead -  I shall return -  Necessity is the mother of invention - A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, wait a cotton-picking second here, I seem to have lost my train of thought. Oh yeah, now I remember! Douglas, I've got a box of 250 B-17 targets minus 2, so dang it all, we got to keep on keeping on.

Smoothbore guns only.

Ernie, Jeff and I will be doing it somemin about to weeks.

I won't be here next year so no postal then.  But the following year when I get back I'll think about doing it again.

Douglas,
I went postal on July 5th with no practice shots, simply measured the distance for the target, set it up and launched the first six balls. The second target and six more shots soon followed, and then we packed it up and hightailed it home (it reached 104° F). I sent the targets off to Montana today.

....that's the way I want to go!!!

I don't ever want to see you go, Douglas! :'(  At least not until you've posted the results of the 3rd Annual GBO Miniature Cannon Club Postal Shoot. :P

I had to have the Brits resubmit a target, they sent two targets, just the same one twice.  As soon as they sort the issue out,  the results will be posted.

Douglas,

How about a little more information? Where do these three gentlemen hail from? How many people competed in this years shoot?

Well, we tried to make a pig fly, but found that the aerodynamics just weren’t right, so let’s look on the bright side; we are well on our way towards having 11 stickies again, so now we can get rid of the postal shoot sticky, and we will at least be able to get it back down to 9. ;D

I'll  Leave the Postol shoot up as a sticky for 30 days, unless the Mod's want to dump it sooner.  I have no idea why the Mountain Howitzer build got stickied, but the  Mods must have a reason.
