Tennessee Man Has 30 Kids, Asks Judge For Child Support Break 5/21/12

Desmond Hatchett just realized something. He cannot support his 30 kids on his minimum wage job. He fathered 30 children with 11 different women. He's had four children in a year on two separate occasions.
Who are these women? Why do they keep having his babies? And why doesn't he spend money on protection?
Now he's asked a judge for some relief in his child support payments.
Half his salary is being divided among the 30 kids but what is half of minimum wage divided by 30? Tennessee does not have a state minimum wage, so the national minimum wage of $7.25 applies. Half of that divided by 30 is 12 cents an hour. So even if he worked a full time work week of 40 hours, it wouldn't even amount to $5 a week!
He promised the courts he'd stop having kids three years ago when he had 21 kids. But he did not obey that promise.

Unfortunately in this case there's nothing in a freedom loving society that can be done to prevent these kind of wacky excesses.

If there was you can gerentee its going to be used against us all one day.

The real solution in this case would be to not have a minimum wage. If this loser is starving to death he wont father more kids.

Its a messed up situation that there's no solutions for. As I once pointed out to a jury when I sat in on a similar case "if we lock him up the kids still don't get anything and now we(the taxpayers) are footing the bill to feed and house the guy.

This is where powderman being the good Christian he is suggests we shoot him or castrate him against his will. Being a "real conservative" I'm sure he's also going to propose some sort of mandatory government run sterilization program.

He did promise the court to stop this behavior, he perjured himself in court. This really is a no win situation but I ask as a taxpayer why I should pay for this mans acivities.

rw. Your words, not mine. There was a case similar to this in Lou a few yrs ago. The donor was supposedly disabled and said he was just spreading his love around. The judge ordered him not to have ANY sexual contact with any more women. The A nti C hristian L iars U nion of course came to his aid saying that he had the right to live in sin and father all the out of wedlock babies he wanted to, and it was his right to refuse to support any of them. This guy may be newsworthy because of the numbers. but there are plenty of guys not far behind doing the same kind of thing. It's not a new problem. Are there any precedents here? It is a burden on society.

What this guy has is not worth bottling. Think about the math for a minute. 11 women 30 kids and minimum wage. So using my complex math formula thats almost 3 kids with each woman.
So the women knowing he makes minimum wage and have all ready taken him to court once for child support continued bearing children by him.
My math says thats 12 stupid peope who produced 30 kids who won't be properly cared for.
Sad day indeed.

I think the stud is obviously not too particular about his selection in receptacles, but what about the responsibility of the pigs--err women that he has been breeding. Unless he is a serial rapist and his female friends are serial victims, they all share in the act. If they want to behave like barnyard animals, they should live behind a fence and graze with their kind.

I can swear that they make birth control for women's use. The focus is on the father what about the 11 loose kneed woman. They are all out there living the dream. We need to mind our own business and keep going to work so we can support our families (and theirs).

The welfare system should be changed to not subsidize illegitimate births. Not my responsibility to feed them. That is why there are two parents for one baby. To have two people to provide food & care for the child. Nothing like a little hunger to get people motivated to get a job and keep their legs together.

Such good solid Christian conservative ideas expressed here. Letting children starve and talking about euthanasia for them for the sins of the parents. Why we should just rewind the clock to the slums of 1870's London for a real Utopia. We can have the little ones labor in workhouses to pay for their upkeep and possibly turn a profit in the process.

The behavior of the parents is the issue. VOLUNTARY subsided sterilization service would solve these problems, let the men or women stay on welfare the rest of their lives provided they get fixed. Most would jump on the oppurtunity and we'd save $$ in the long run.

There is a solution to all of this. Its called, government stay out. People will learn to live within their own means as opposed to going to the government for help. These women are idiots as well. If you don't take care of your kids, you can go to jail for that already. So they are equally culpable.

Welfare state makes more welfare recipients.
I don't believe for a second these kids should starve or be locked up. The parents you know the dude and his women should be doing something other than taking advantage of the system.

Voluntary sterilaization I doubt would be accepted by these individuals. You can't get more money or foodstamps without more kids. These kids are being taught by the actions of adults in there lives. It's ok not to work and just keep collecting free money.

Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are older they won't depart from it.
