GLOCK 21 with Lone Wolf barrel
« on: August 30, 2012, 04:42:04 PM »
I shoot a Glock 21 with a Lone Wolf barrel. I am interested in shooting 200 gr LSWC bullets. I am wondering if the Lone Wolf barrel will feed these bullets. Has any one tried this setup?

I had a 21 that I shot the 200gr LSWCs in for IDPA. The LW barrel had tighter dimensions than the factory requiring properly sized cartridges to feed reliably. Using range brass, I'd get the occasional failure to return to battery. At that time I was using RCBS dies. I added a Lee Factory Crimp die and all the problems went away. Feeding was never a problem. I current shoot mostly .40. I load the Missouri Bullet 170 or 155 gr LSWC, using the LFCD without a single problem. After all, it's a Glock!

I answered my own question. I loaded a bunch of 200 gr LSWC with various powders and found a very accurate load using WW231. Loads perfectly in the LW barrrel. This will be my go to bullet and load for steel and bowling pin.

I've yet to find a bullet profile that wouldn't feed in a Glock if OAL and crimp were in spec.
