The 357 Handi has a reputation for a very long throat which is ruinous to accuracy. Most 357 owners front the H&R Talk board rechambered theirs to 357 Maximum in an effort to regain a resonable chamber throat length. It does work and usually improves accuracy, however, it is a handloading only proposition. Mine did not shoot well from the box, wouldn't keep 5 shots on a paper plate at 50 yards, while some have had very good results. One fellow was getting 2" groups at 100 yards with his factory 357 barrel. None too shabby at all. If you are a handloader, the nice thing about the 357 barrel is that you can always go larger. Hope you try it, and hope it works well for you. There are more than a few who would want to purchase it from you if you were to be dissastisfied.
