I have a 1911-style Llama that, I am guessing, must be 25 years old or so. This gun has a black finish, smooth wood grips, and a ventilated rib. I cannot figure out what model this is. I would like to purchase another mag for it. I have been told that a Colt 9mm mag will work in this gun. But, I have not been able to find either a Llama mag or a Colt 9mm mag.
Does anyone know what model this might be? I purchased a couple of gun pricebooks, but cannot find it listed.
This gun is quite accurate and functions well with ball-type ammo. It does not like lead bullets. Some of the problem, I think, is in the mag. I think that, if it is true that a Colt mag will fit (and I presume that the Colt mag would be of better quality than the Llama), maybe it will feed lead loads better with a Colt mag. I think the Spanish-made mag is sort of rough.
Thanks for any help.
