Left hand Model 70?
« on: February 13, 2012, 02:39:59 PM »
I can't find any info on left handed current manufacture left-handed model 70s.  I'm specifically looking for a .280 or 7mm WSM.

Browning and Winchester are the only two companies that currently chamber rifles in 7mm WSM and .280.  Browning makes both in left hand, but does Winchester?  There is some cryptic stuff from a few years ago on their website but nothing current.

The FN mfg. model 70's are not offred in left hand. There has been chatter but I would not be holding my breath that they will every produce them again. As for the time when the lefties were offred by the NH plant, they are scarce as hens teeth and command a premium price when you can find them. Now for some reason the 7WSM's show up more often used and sometimes NIB on Gunbroker and Gunsamerica. Im personally in search of a standard action LH 70 in hopes of buliding a .35Whelen...  That is one of my long term projects.

Well, I found a Browning X-bolt in 7 WSM. Really nice rifle, but I didn't draw anything bigger than a mulie this year so I won't be taking it hunting this time around.
