I'm with you! I think people use the term hero to often to describe certain actions by people.This policeman no doubt upheld his oath to the letter.Protecting others and serving, even after being severely wounded."Sounds like heroic action"I saw a video once of a man standing by a raging river flooding, and a small child was being carried downstream in the river. As soon as he saw the child he jumped into the water and was swept away and died in an attempt to save the child. The child was pulled from the water by another person alive.
Even though this man was unsuccessful in saving the child, he died a true hero.This was not his child, and I'm sure he knew jumping into that river could cost him his life. He never hesitated.There were others standing near him, but he was the only one that made an attempt to rescue the baby.He was special! He was a hero.
