Nice Day, Good friends, and mixed bag of varmints

Went out with two very good friends after some ground hogs this morning. All of us were set up in defferent positions. After 3hrs and no one seeing any targets, I called the last hour for any legal varmint. Wouldn't ya know it? we all came out of the field with something different. The guy on the right actually scored a Ground Hog at 10yds with his 22LR (iron sights), I managed to shoot a 13 striped ground squirrel with my 22 mag, and my friend on the left smoked two crows with the 22-250 at 165yds and 170yds. He also got a 13 striped ground squirrel with his scoped 22LR. Turned out to be a pretty fun day. I got to watch an amazing air battle between three hummingbirds at very close range for quite some time. Hummingbirds are just plain cool birds to watch.

Any day spent with good friends and guns outdoors is a good day. Don't think the game you got will be too filling this eve on the BBQ   What's the rubber bands for? Loose your forearm screw in the weeds? Glad you all had a good day

I use the rubber bands for attaching vegetation or a camo cloth when I want the shine down.

We have both.  They are basically the same critter in relation to size.  The chipmunks in our areas seem to like to stay in the woods.  The 13 stiped Ground squirrels love the short grass fields and will set up in numbers in them.  Imagine a Prairie Dog town inhabited with smaller and thinner occupants.  They make quite the challenging target.  They average about 4-5" long and about 1-1.5" wide.
