I have and did not like it.  Gun felt awkward. Also a 1980 xred frame.  Went back to orig wood grips.

FWIW, I put Pacmeyer's (sp?) on my old SBH 44Mag years ago and did not like it either. There is just something about blued steel and wood (or other natural material).

fitting a pachymeyer or hogue rubber grip on a SA is not going to work well for most people.
a SA needs to ride high in the palm of the hand and roll when fired.
the rubberized grip wont allow for that.
but some people do like and  used them, but it seems they all go back to a wood grip of some kind

Three shots on a buddies .44 mag. with Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers cured me.

The really neat "purple" Old Model Super Blackhawk has a totally stock grip arrangement.
The 10" gun has a modified New Model Super grip frame that works with the Old Model
Lockwork.  Its' trigger guard has been rounded and a New Model Bisely hammer spur has
been welded on to the Old Model Super's hammer.

I had professional help doing the final finish work. The 10-1/2" gun's grips came from Lett's (long gone now).

PS I agree "rubber baby buggy bumper grips" don't work................
