Either of my Savage 24-V's, .222/20 ga. or the .30-30/20 ga. with cast bullets in the rifle barrel.

Since semi's are not an option in Pa. I use a 17 rem fireball from 50 to 200 yards.  If in the SRA (Shotgun/rimfire only area) I will use a 22 wmr in a pinch, but while I don't mind carrying both the 17 and shotgun I will usually just stick to the SX3 and heavy metal BB instead of carrying the shotgun and rimfire.

I like my Rem 700 26" .223 with 10x mildot scope for long range or at night, a Ruger 10/22 GM barreled .22 LR, or any kind of iron sighted .30-30 (current ones are Winchester 94s and Marlin 336s).  I know many people don't like a heavy scoped rifle, but in my casse with the place I hunt coyote on, I get on top of a steep hill and have a 360 degree view with shots ranging from 25 to 600yds, and the scope gathers light very well at night to allow me to leave the spot light in the truck if there's any moon light.

I have a Rugar 77/ .22 Hornet rechambered to .22 K-Hornet.  It's wickedly accurate and I have a couple mags so reloads are quick.  I figure it's plenty powful up to 100 yards and it's cheap to reload for.

I have a differant prospective.  Inside 100 yards I like my 350 Rem Mag, or it's twin the 35 Whelen.  Oh I may be out calling preditors alright, but in my neck of the woods Wolves, Black Bears, and Grizzlies are preditors.  I like to carry a T/C Contender in .223 for Foxes, and Coyotes, but for the bigger stuff I like the .35s.

For ranges beyond 100 yards I like the 30-06.  125gr Speer TNTs and 180 gr Nosler Partitions.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
