H&R Huntsman

Just picked up an H&R Huntsman 12 GA from my son in laws Grandfather who no longer wanted it but wanted it to be used .
I was wondering how I can find out info on it cant seam to find any it's serial starts with  AL

Welcome, see the H&R FAQs sticky for year of mfr. You might want to try the advanced search option to find previous posts on your Huntsman shotgun, select just this forum from the list, use shotgun for the keyword, I got several hits, one of em below.

Your Huntsman 12 Ga with a serial number prefix of "AL" was manufactured in 1972 and was the first year they were offered for sale.  The barrel should have a screw-in breech plug with 2 holes for a spanner tool on the rear face.
 
I don't know what other information you are looking for about your Huntsman. Perhaps you can elaborate.

Sorry, I just realized I gave you the wrong information above.  Your Huntsman was manufactured in 1973 and probably had a knock-out breech plug. Truly sorry for the error.
