Browning A-Bolt II .243
« on: November 04, 2012, 01:55:15 AM »
I bought a Browning A-Bolt II in .243 winchester. I have been shooting it a little with the Remington 100 grain Core-loct factory loads and it appears that they are keyholing a little bit on a 100 yard target. This rifle has a 1/10 twist and the accuracy is only around 2".

Obviously I am not to impressed with this load and I don't reload.  If anyone has this rifle and shoots factory fodder please lend some advice. It will be used as a deer rifle so I was hoping it would handle the 100 grain bullets but maybe not. Any experience or advice is welcome. Thanks.

In my A-bolt and X-bolt the 100 gr. core lokt ammo works well in my gun.  Also the Wincheser power point in 100 gr. works too.  My hunting load is teh Winchester 95 gr ballistic silvertip.  Both guns are in 243 and shoot better than I do.
