Keep me in your prayers
« on: August 18, 2012, 03:33:00 AM »
As many of you know I have been fighting lung cancer for the past few years, I had final treatments about 6 months ago and on 7 Aug determined to be in TOTAL REMISSION. On Aug 10 test results came back from a CT Scan, I was informed there is a mass in my brain about the size of an egg,  It's been nothhing but test since then to try to determing the type of cance and set a course for dealing with it. The doctors wante to operate immediately but couldn't due to the medications they had me on , I'm off the meds and scheduled for surgery early 24 Aug.

Please continue to keep me in your prayers.

Rockbilly,

I'm praying that the Lord will remove any pain and that you will be healed, either by a miraculous healing or through the guided hands of a physician.  I pray that you would receive an extra portion of grace during this time - praying against anxiety & fear.  I pray that the Lord will provide you with complete peace.

Blessings

Paul

Thanks for the support the prayers were answered.

We had the surgery on the 24th and the doctors think they got all of the mass, at least nothing showed on the CT Scan following the operation.

This was quite an experience for me, I was scared to death, but after talking to a young Mother and seeing her three year old son who had already survived two very serious head/brain operations I never looked back. They rolled me in did the “messy work”, an hour later I was setting up on the side of the bed enjoying a bowl of soup.  I am truly amazed at medicine today, with a piece of scull the size of a soft ball removed and the probing, etc around there was very little pain or discomfort.  As far as I know I have taken no pain medication since. I’m home recovering, can’t drive or do much of anything for two weeks and then should be able to do as I please, only problem. It’s hard to sleep with 87 stitches in your head, can’t get the head anyway that the stitches don’t bother you.

Thanks again and God Bless you.

Yes; Praise be to God Almighty.  Let us rejoice, and give God thanks in all things. Not just the good things.  We don't understand why, but God does.
I'm agreeing with you that all the cancer is gone brother.  Take care and get rested up. :)
Enjoy your rights to keep and bear arms.
