You'd better be prepared if your live where I do.  I'm in hurricane central - the outer banks of NC.
Never thought of myself as a prepper but I'm certain I fit the definition.  We are prepared for high wind and flooding waters 24/7/365.  Probably keep a weeks worth of gasoline for my generator (12kw) and have a years worth of frozen food at all times.  Another 50 gallons of fuel in the boat.  When we have been cut off from civilization, the National Guard has been here within a few days with huge generators (on tractor trailers) and mobile showers.  Most gas stations and supermarkets have generators.  Not much fun but we can survive.  No phone and cable TV is bad, but the absolute worst is no water.

Do you rotate your fuel, or stabilize it?
