Round v.s. Square Extractor/Ejector Question

I've been looking at some of the older barrels on the Numrich website.  Some have round extractor/ejectors, while others have square ones.  Will either one work on an 058 frame (or the current manufacture frames)?  I imagine they will, but would like confirmation before I drop the cash for one of these barrels.

Sorry Kees, I was gone on a fishing trip yesterday!  I don't know if the round ejector would work, they're for real old H&Rs like the model 19XXs that have totally different frames. I've removed the ejector from my 1908, but don't recollect the differences other than the round shank, I've never tried the 12ga barrel on any other frame tho.

I stubbed one from a round ejector barrel........used it on an SB-1. Worked the same with normal fitting.

So if I cough up the money for both a 16 ga barrel and the snap on forearm, it should work on my 058?  Kind of scary since Numrich wants a pretty penny for both, if id doesn't work.  If it does it would be really sweet to break down and throw in a pack!  Thanks for your input, now I need to make a decision...

I tried the 1908 barrel on a bunch of frames, it would need quite a bit taken off the pivot to fit even the closest of them, but I think it could be done. The next problem would be getting the snap-on forend for it or changing it to a screw type.

Had a great trip, got sunburned, no fish in the cooler, but we each caught a nice wild steelhead, mine was a nice 10lb buck, but we can't keep wild steelhead, just hatchery marked fish (adipose clipped). Jack's was about the same, only his made several jumps and short runs, mine was just a bulldog making several long runs and staying in the heavy current, thrashed on the surface a couple times, the jumpers are the really fun ones.
