Whats the average price on 788's in 243?
Looked at them on gunbroker & seem a little high. Several yrs. ago I had one 7/08, wish I still owned it.
It was a tack driver.Going to a gun show this weekend , looking for another in .243

the 788's i've seen have went up
in price since last year.
that and 600's and 660's
if you find one you like, you'll probably
want to snag it, even if you have to
give a wee bit more.
stuff like that goes in cycles.

I think at one time, and might still be so, the 788 Remington had the fastest lock time of any production rifle. When target shooters started looking for the rifles for their action the price when sailing up. I know one thing my wife will have to sell my 788 30-30 sometime after the funeral.
