Took long enough! :o

But I do have some concerns about the use of heresay evidence to convict him. :-\

Cuts, I feel the same way. But, being an ex cop, Peterson has an insiders view of what evidence to hide, and buddies on the force that might just taint the process. Not saying they did, but  ::) ::) . Thing is, if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck,?? gypsyman

I think they should turn him over to Stacy's family. A nice trip to the woods might convince him to tell them where he put their daughter. That is, if they have the backbone to ask in a convincing manner.
If he had done away with one of my children he would look up one day, and me and my boys would be there. He would tell me where my child was, however long it took.

They had to pass a law in 2008 allowing hearsay evidence to convict him. I am not to good with that. it does make you wonder how come his wives keep dying and disappearing though.
Yes, I think he is guilty.

Allowing this type of hearsay evidence is a bad precedent in my opinion.

I would have to agree Shu, and I am pro law enforcement. However, this is a can of worms that should have never been opened. In the old days, (and I ain't sayin it should be done this way) those two girls familys would have taken up any slack the law failed on. At least in my part of the country.
I can't imagine watchin a puke like that walk down the street, knowin he knows where my daughter is, and won't tell. There was a time in my part of the world when that gentleman would get a midnight ride, and the matter would be cleared up one way or the other, but the victims family could at least have funeral for their loved one. Then they could look for the killer. ;)

This might get overturned, might. I think it will be appealed to the high court because of hearsay evidence. That could be bad for everyone. An angry ex wife or anyone could make your life more   miserable.
If he is found guilty in court with evidence, good. If not let him go.

Dee,
I am pro law enforcenment also. Unfortunately Drew Peterson is one of the 1%. I really don't like hearsay unless it's a dying declaration.

Peterson is a slick one, I am betting he will win his appeal though. :-[

I have no good answer for anyone I thought hurt my little girl. Unfortunately I know I would do the wrong thing but I would know the truth.

I don't see finding out the truth as the wrong thing. Some people need to be asked in a different manner than others. And family matters.

Come on guys .
This is one of America's finest.  A good example of LEO's that should be above being questioned about anything he does.

Just sticking up for our boys in blue ;)
No one seen him do anything wrong.
No bodies,, and still people seem to want to hang him.
Until you walk a mile in a LEO's shoes and know what it is like risking your life for us lowly citizens everyday we should not question any hero of America's streets.
Unless there is solid evidence, then no one should have the right to question anything a man with a badge does!

A restaurant owner in Lou took a personal interest in the case and went to the trial, he was thrown out for hollering a comment, he's been going to several of the hi profile trials. He's the same guy who told OJ and his guests that he would not serve them at derby time a few years back. I'm sure he'll comment now that the trial is over. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Wow some people just can't let go.

Peterson is the 1% of cops that are bad. There was a law enacted in 2008 that allows hearsay evidence, it was specifically enacted to nail Peterson. No one likes hearsay evidence, it really is a bad precedent. When a state legislature does this kind of thing it is easy proof they have been bought. Peterson is slick but I am sure he made a mistake some where and physical evidence is there.

LOL! Yea, some can't let go.
Peterson is truly a dirtbag, and like you said, part of that 1%. I watched good ones and bad ones walk out the door for 20 years. Some would stay with it no matter what, and some you couldn't trust in the station.
What got Peterson was the other 99% testified to his arrogance about his ex-wives, and the missing wife that talked to her preacher.

What's the odds of a man having three wives that all die of unnatural causes. I think he got what he deserves.
