Got My New Stryker Stryke Zone 350
« on: August 09, 2012, 11:16:11 AM »
Been a while since I posted.

Just added the SZ 350 to the battery. I have to say this xbow is impressing me.  No trouble picking the exact spot I want to hit and hitting it everytime. Definitely a big leap forward from my old Yukon SL that I ran for years. Never could get good consistency out of it no matter the bolt/ broadhead combination ( I'm sure the trigger on that old beast didn't help haha).

I was happy to hear that the factory scope was already set for 0-35 yards with the center of the cross hairs, after several bolts last night I am believing it ;)  Oh and boys I am in love with the trigger pull on this xbow. Its in the same pound range that I have my bolt action set at, talk about easy transition ..

Just need to get out to a more open area this weekend to confirm the 45-55-65 yard hash marks are on the money and I'll be ready for the 15th of Sept.

Hope everyone else is having a easy time getting all those ducks in a row for opening archery too.

At only 135 lb pull and 350 fps, that is the crossbow I would choose if I was to get one right now.  Good to hear that you are having good results.

Omega I am liking it alot. The only down side is the pulley syatem for cocking it. The 19"+/- axle to axle makes the angle of the string steep enough that it will bite the hell out you ( buddy at the bow shop found this out the hard way ) . But on the other side of that only gripe I have, is the lesson alot of have learned about the improved accuracy a xbow can attain from the assisted cocking systems. And on that note if the great accuracy this weapon has is due impart to that, then I retract my gripe hahahah.

Took a turkey yesterday afternoon at 15 yards ( my first ) using the 100gr. Grim reaper BH. Man that BH does nasty things to tissue. I'm in the blind at the moment waiting for bambi to make an appearence.

  Good luck out there guys,
