First let me say that I've been breathing air for a very long time guys, and also that I really do enjoy this chat forum thing. You have to take recommendations with a grain of salt but that's ok. You do the same when you get one from the guy at the trap field or the hardware store.
But I haven't found exactly the forum I'd like to spend a few evenings in, while my burning feet recouperate from a hard day in the stickers chasing after Woodcock.
How about one for the minimalists; those who repair their waders rather than buy new; those who have their Smith and Wesson tightened up rather than trade it away; those who spend enough time with one shotgun to become an expert instinctive shooter instead of scrolling through web sites looking for the next gun for their collection? Where do you post, those of you who hunt, fish, camp, shoot clays and bullseyes, hike, and take genuine interest in wildlife; the guys who are content with one squirrel gun, one bird gun, one deer rifle and one handgun, one freshwater rod, one saltwater rod, one tent, one knife,...? The sportsman who knows the limitations of his binoculars but would rather get out there and use them than search for a new pair that gather five percent more light. I see you there friend, but not until I have to wade through seemingly endless posts of the sort "What gun should I get?", "What's the most durable revolver?", "How many bolt guns do you have?" Well, you get the picture; at least those that get the picture, get the picture. And that's who I'm looking for. Hope to hear from you soon or from the moderator who sees the value in such a forum.
Regards.
