Nikon P223
« on: December 29, 2012, 03:57:41 AM »
Late for me to be asking this, since I just bought one on Gunbroker, but it was a fair price and I've read several favorable reviews online. But I wanted to see if anyone here has direct experience with Nikon's P223 fixed 3x scope on their AR. Being a pennypincher, I'm hoping its low price doesn't forego quality. I just can't see spending multiple hundreds on a scope, especially since I shoot only occassionally and am not a professional competitor or LEO.

Also, some online descriptions refer to 1/2 MOA turrent adjustments, while others (including the GB seller's) say 1/4 MOA. Which is it?  ???

I'll be watching this myself and hope you get some good response. I am of a similar bent, I want a quality scope but at the same time don't need a sho' nuff operator grade piece of glass.

< $200 and good enough that if I don't abuse it it will last a lifetime. I want to set it and forget about it. I don't need or want target turrets, and I don't want 2# of crap on a rifle designed to be handy.
