As i will be living in KY soon I voted yes. However I would not be adverse to the Idea of opening it up to include all the states in the region. I think we might stand a better chance of getting a regional forum going. What do the rest of the yes voters think of this as an idea?  D.C. Don

I'm in Shelby County and I think it's a great idea.  Kentucky has good deer, rabbit, squirrel, turkey and waterfowl (Western part of state).  Our state also has the largest elk herd East of the Mississippi River, too.  I'm hoping for a hunt on one of those in the future.  My wife and I went to Knott Co. where her Father was from and got up on the Starfire strip mine reclamation area.  We saw some of these huge animals last year.  It was great.

Well, good luck in those surrounding counties.  I wish I had a piece of land over that way to have access to.  The closest one I have access to is in Menifee County.  I've never been on it but a friend of mine owns a hundred acres or so there.  Best of luck!!!

DC,
How come you're not hunting?  Have you just not been here long enough to find a place?  Depending on where you are, it can either be easy to gain some access to some farmland or it can be difficult.  Where I am in Shelby County you can still get permission rather than having to lease land and all that junk. I'm new to Shelby County and all I did was go down and eat some biscuits and gravy for awhile and get to know the folks at the local market.  Country cookin'.  Country people.  You just can't go wrong.
