Looks like you are off to a roaring good start!
Over the years I've heard of many ways to determine the best load for a front loader, from as much powder as it takes to cover the ball in your cupped hand to whatever won't burst the barrel. The one I've seen recommended by the serious shooters is to start with 1 1/2 x the caliber in grains. So for your .45 that will be 1.5 x 45 = 67.5, round up to 68 grains. Fffg is good. For deer hunting you may want to increase the load to the point where accuracy starts to fall off. For small game what you have should be good, or play with different loads and patches until you get the best groups and use that.
I remember reading about someone using 65 grains in a .45 on a deer, ball went in the chest and was found under the skin at the rear hip, for what it's worth.
