Savage 110 parts

Went to the range today and came back without my rear baffle for the bolt ??.  Is the rifle safe to shoot with out it? Rifle season is about a mth away and this is my only large caliber rifle.

I am not sure what you mean by the rear baffle for the bolt. Do you mean the bolt assembly screw? It is the rear most part, it looks "cap" like with an Allen head socket in it.

It a horse shoe looking thing that sits just in front of the main screw that holds on the bolt handle. I had to order it from Savage, its a 9.00 part.  I guess its used to to gas from split cases from hitting you in the face.

I see what you are talking about. It is called a rear baffle and sets just ahead of the bolt. If for some reason, the time gets close and you still do not have it, I have a spare that I could send you. When you get yours, then you could send it to me to replace or send me back the old one. It is a bolt that came out of a Stevens 200, but I think it will fit your rifle.
