plated bullets
« on: September 16, 2012, 06:26:59 AM »
another thread mentioned these.  For a rifle, 30-30 what load and velocity can be obrtained.  Does anyone make 170 gr?

I have used plated .40 and .357, but the 30-30 has been only 165 gr. hard cast with lube and loaded down a bit.  How fast can a plated .30 be shot without problems, both leading and terminal performance.  I am always looking for a cheaper or better way to hunt big game.

thanks
