Moving to Illinois

Illegal immigrants are boycotting Arizona by the thousands, showing their outrage with Arizona's controversial new SB-1070 law by moving elsewhere.

In the small town of Guadalupe, AZ, south of Phoenix, Manuel Renaldo is one of those who is punishing Arizona by leaving. As he loaded his stolen car with his stolen belongings and family of ten, Renaldo told this reporter through an interpreter "It's a matter of principle; I refuse to be supported by a state that treats me like a criminal!"


The effects of the exodus are being felt by Arizona retailers, who are reporting dwindling sales of beer, spray paint, and ammunition. Also hit hard are the state hospitals, which have reported a dramatic decline in births and emergency room visits. Tattoo parlors are in a state of panic.

Renaldo told a reporter through an interpreter that he and his family are moving to Illinois, a democratic state with high taxes where hard working people will support him and his family with dignity!

Kind of brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it ?

Hehe nice! It amazes me how far north illegals get. Where Im from ( WI ), its flooded with them. The small town my dad grew up in used to be a vacation area for the wealthy. Now its filled with litter and spanish.


Lucky for me I moved to MT, I have been here 3 years and literally have not heard a single spanish word since.

I just spent a little vacation time in Wyoming and South Dakota. I didn't hear one word of Spanish spoken during the time I was there. Sometimes I have to remind myself I'm not in Mexico when I'm in a store around home.

Only legal immigration made this country what it is. ILLEGAL immigration is what is destroying it.It operates on the free ride concept. Most illegals pay no taxes,but yet suck money out of the social service side of the economy. This means I as a taxpayer pay the free ride for these folks. It is also a means for the democrat party to buy votes using my money as the bait. Tell me different. I have lived in ground zero for this all my life.Seen it,been there, done that.

Most cases,no taxes. Alcohol,smokes and fuel taxes don't support the social system.Easy to make what ever case you want if you don't live in a border state. I've been here in Arizona for 57 years. You?

Kansas, but in areas with about a third latino populations. Always grew up around them due to the railroad and meat packing plants.

The. taxes business is part of the whole underground cash economy.  There are so many in Colorado that they have their own community so don't have to assimilate and learn English.  They are not all working for low wages as evidenced by having better homes, trucks, and such than a lot of us can offord.


All the children born are automatically citizens so that gives them an anchor.


This has been a mess since the legal farm worker programs were trashed so people had to sneak in, and then stay.


Individuallly, I get along and like most of the immigrants I meet, but you can't solve all the problems in the world by having everyone move to the US.


I know some are far more racist (ethnicist?, language isn't a race) than most of us--the ol' "macho hombre" thing.


The tax thing could be solved by going to a VAT or sales tax, but that would hurt most of us who are lower middle class; thatbelongs in another thread and probably under politics.

This is politics. lolI love Mexico and the mexican people. Good folks,work hard and all that other good stuff. When they did away with the bracero program and demos started using these good folks as pawns,is when the issues started.Never was problematic in the sixties and seventies.They came worked,paid taxes and went home. No issues with that. The ones that wanted to stay,got greeen cards, no issue with that.My mom came after the war from Germany with my dad. She did all the things it took to become a US citizen. Later in life when I quizzed here why she did not teach me to to speak German she said. You are an American not a German.Nuff said.
