Info sought on a Charled Daly OU
« on: September 28, 2012, 02:35:58 AM »
I am looking for input on the above in a 12 gauge gun.  It has color case hardened receiver which I've never seen on a CD, and I believe is marked Made in Italy.  It does not have the bottom metal design (hinged inserts) typical of the Citori's and the more common CD's so it is curious.  The barrel selector is integral with the safety.  That's about all I can say about it but the CC receiver really cauht my eye and aparently it is a totally different design than the Citori copies.  I think it is kind of how Weatherby was getting their OU's from SKB (greener cross bolt style) and then suddenly the Orion now looked totally different when they shifted over to the D'Italia.
Thanks,
Ed

My wife has a pair a 20ga, and a 12ga. they are marked made by BC Mircro on the barrels. If I remember right that is the same company that made brownings for a while. They are both good shooters, I seem to be able to do better with the shorter barreled 12ga. though.
