Cops set up cameras to watch the cameras that watch youBy NBCWashington.comPolice in Prince George's County, Maryland, are installing cameras...to watch their cameras.
Six speed cameras in Maryland have been vandalized since April, WTOP reported.
The cameras cost $30,000 to $100,000 to replace, so police have started installing surveillance cameras designed to catch vandals in the act.
A dozen of the new cameras will be in place by the end of the month, WTOP reported.
Police call it a matter of public safety, not an attempt to generate profit.

i asked the question at a town hall
meeting about red light cameras


"if someone else is driving my vehicle,
how will they receive their redlight citation?
won't it be sent to me in my name?"


the answer
" it will be mailed to the person that the
vehicle is registered to"


so. . . if red light cameras are for safety ,
if the actual driver of the vehicle that broke
traffic laws and drove in an unsafe manner is
not punished , but the owner of the vehicle is ,
how does that help traffic safety and reduce
traffic accidents?


answer: it doesn't
