The problem is, if it would have been done by a Christian screaming that it was being done in the name of Jesus. And it wasn't. All Christians and Christian leaders would condemn it. Now when muslims do these type of attacks very few muslims and no muslin leaders condemn these attacks. In fact many support them.

I guess the truth doesn't fit some agendas so well.

In the America you seem so ready to condemn you have the RIGHT to worship as you please. In America if most Christians heard there was to be an armed assault on your place of worship we would stand with you.

You claim to be a student of U.S. history but it is obvious you have taken most of your education on the middle east from the news media and have not bothered to check other sources. If you would really like to get an idea of what is occurring over there I will be more than happy to give you multiple credible sources WITHOUT party agenda.

Better yet. Get a visa and go visit a while. You'll be appreciating the religious freedom you take for granted now.

Why is America great? Get some travel visas and go find out.

I know a girl who was in the air force and stationed in Turkey awhile. She said the girls had to be accompanied by other girls or guys to go into public, just to shop or see the town near the air base. She said if you walk down the narrow streets shopping, Muslim Turks would try to feel them as they went by, and nothing could be done about it. They have a right to feel up non believers in public. Strange. I had some Syrians living next door when I was 6 years old in Dearborn, Michigan back in 1959. I went outside one day and was playing with their daughter when I was 6, and her grandmother came out and was yelling at me. Found out, I couldn't play with her alone without adult supervision, at 6 years old. We didn't stay there long before we moved to a better neighborhood.

I can't believe the narrow mind people who label people as christians when they are not. Christians in this day and time do not go out and murder people. Christians should be judged by their actions and the way they live. If they need to tell you they are christian that might be a red flag. There are christians in the true sprit of the word. Then there are those who go thru the motions but never really commit to being a christian 100% the sunny day christian if you will. Then there are the ones who want to be seen as a christian but never want to accept the christian life.
The term christian is often misused to decribe far right wing ways . Before you call someone a christian you should learn what a real one looks like not just apply the term to those who are right leaning in political views. People spout conflicting views all the time . Often daily we hear Obama is a communist/soicalist then the same guy will spout he is a Muslim . Since both Communist and Muslim require total allengence how could one person be a true member of both ? How could a christian go out and murder ?

If their only a few 'real' Christians in a nation...can that nation be considered a 'Christian' nation..? It seems America is christian by decree , noted in our laws . But I think there are many christians in America.

Is the main measure of being a Christian those that follow the teachings of Christ and New Covenant, or something else? As expressed in the Bible not in the doctrine of the varing churches unless it is in total agreement with the Bible.

You bring up a good point , not sure there is a simple ansewer . If you talk about people of sound mind and someone has lived a christian life how could they commit murder when that is one of the Ten Commandments ? It's no trick it is the truth comming out. It would be no different than a union member calling him self a democrat but voting rep. The act of premetidated murder would either prove they were not a follower or insane. How could an insane person be a christian or muslim how could they commit to either ?
The simple ansewer might be that the Bible teaches forgivness and the Koran teaches killing of those not inclined to follow their teachings. If a man says he is a christian then goes aginst its teaching what is he ? If a muslim does exactly what he has been taught and belives in what is he ? It is comparing apples and oranges.
It is why most americans can't understand the muslim issue or for that matter many other issues around the world. We can be arrogrant believing everyone else wants to be like us when they do not. From the highest levels to the lowest people try to hide why muslims commit the killings they do. Its what their book tells them to do and many other cultures can seem to understand it. It is often white washed to keep us from seeing the real truth.
What needs to be understood is that much like the christian evolution there are muslims that do not want to kill all others much like there were christians back in the day that did not wish to burn witches etc. They are evolving as we did. But we also need to protect aginst our own demise while it takes place.

TM7 post your source for the 95+ % that would be interesting to see. Not to mention most of their population lives in the cities with access to world news. Maybe they could speak out aginst the iron hand rulers they were forced to live under. Maybe the way people were tortued and killed in public for minor crimes if any . Maybe the way women and girls were treated and abused . I remember reading where young girls were raped by family members the put to death so the family would not be shamed . Just to name a few.

To correct some misinformation...
I have heard some folks claim that the OWS idiots are somehow 99% of our population...that is patently ridiculous. The fact that they claim to be 99% doesn't mean they are 99% of our population. I could CLAIM that I am 14% of the population..but obviously that is untrue....just as untrue as the 99% claim.
Those anarchists running the street looking for more "freebies' for themselves, are at best a few thousand...how big a percentage is that out of a population of 330 million?

I wish we had some leadership who is willing to play hardball with these mindless terrorists. If I were in charge I would commission a study to find out just exactly what would be most reprehensible in disposing of pieces of their remains.
I would then warn bombers that any remains from their bomb attack would be so treated... Whether it is wrapping them in bacon strips and sealing them in a stainless steel container...or simply buried with a few porkchops..that's what would happen to them..
Whatever they qualify for they would get... that should slow them down some..
