Dave...
Looks like very functional knives and a good buy to boot.  I don't think you could go wrong for the prices.   I saw one blade that could be customized but unfortunately the blade alone cost more than the finished knives.

The last blade I finished to fit my needs was a Swedish  laminated...could be hard on the fingers in the hands of the wrong person.

Dave 223,
Mora and other Scandinavian blades can be fantastic.  If you want to find a wide selection google "Ragnars Forge".  I have dealt with this individual and never been disapointed.  I am not sure if it is possible to get better prices but as the original J. C. Penney said, "All goods worth price charged." seems to be Ragnars way of doing business.

I have a couple of their plain jane ones that I have carried for 40 years plus or minus, I have knives costing 10 times as much but still like these better for every day use and they hold an edge better than most all my other knives. they're cheap looking but I have never had a better knife.... just my opinion  :)

I can vouch for Ragnar too.

Apart from knives, he sells a nifty little two-sided diamond plate. Really handy item that's small enough to keep in my wallet. I never worry about damaging an edge in the field (or anywhere else for that matter) anymore.  :)

I like the little carbon clipper models. They sharpen up easily and hold an edge well. I soak them in vinegar to force a patina for rust resistance. They get a good soaking of vegetable oil, then wiped off and no special care after that. One stays in a pack in the back of the truck under a tonneau cover in the humid South. One stays in boat. One in the tool bag in the shed. One hanging on the covered back porch, for the garden. And the other one in the kitchen. I have never owned a stainless one but they are said to be equally good with sharpness and retention. They won't throw a spark with a flint is the only reason I don't have one. The laminated ones are supposed to be heat treated a little stronger than the other two. I think it was the owner of Ragweed Forge that said he couldn't tell a difference with them being any different than the ss or carbon models. Overall they make good little light use utility, survival and paring knives. Even though they are cheap on that site I have gotten all of mine from amazon or ebay. I paid about $8-10 shipped for each.

You can pay more and get less knife.
The point is that really we want to cut stuff, so we have knives, just like we want holes so we have a drill and drill bits. They will do it long and well, but the style isnt quite enough for some folks, though it has been good enough to last for how many 100s of years?

Just bought 2 to try. First was HighQ 4" stainless and the HighQ Robust carbon 4". I used the stainless all day at the lease in a constant rain. Razor sharp after cutting rope sacks and a few small green limbs.  The soft plastic handle was easy to hold onto even wet. The plastic sheath took some getting used to but after the all day rain I took the knife out wiped it down and the blew the sheath out with compressed air. Sheathed the knife and was ready to go. Can't do that with leather. Now the Robust is a beast 1/8th thick razor sharp blade. The plastic handle is oversized and easy to hold. Even with gloves it will be easy to control. Now this blade is carbon and will have to be looked after more. No more dressing a hog or deer and leaving it bloody in the sheath for a few hours at camp while you take the ritual nap. It will rust quick I'm sure but wash wipe it light oil it and but it back in the easy to clean dry plastic sheath. $14.85 delivered for each one. Ebay had the best deals on the ones I wanted but Amazon has some prices that beat Ebay on other knives. You can buy a utility Mora for $9.99 shipped if you just was to a try one.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.
