Finally got a gunsafe
« on: February 15, 2004, 08:49:07 PM »
Well way too long in coming I think....and it was the wifes idea.

I went down to the local Academy Sports and bought a Liberty gunsafe. Made by Cannon.

Its a 15 gun...pleanty of room since I keep the handguns in my old and I mean old post office safe that my great grandfather had in his gunshop.

This thing doesnt have the highgloss finish and I like it just fine.

I promised the wife I would build a wood cabinet around it.  Our living room has an old west look to it.  I am gonna use rustic cedar and will make a matching entertainment center to go with it..

If I ever get it done I will post pictures.

I like the peace and mind of mine too. I ran a cord into mine and use a 75 watt bulb on a fixture that keeps moisture from getting at my guns. You can use dessicant or a golden rod too. I recommend something to keep the moisture down.
