You can bring your own (for now anyway) but if it doesn't meet the new guide lines they the school has the right to take it away from the child.
It has happened in many schools already.
You can have a roll but no butter.
You can't have a bologna or tuna sandwich (to much starch) but you get pizza three times a week.
Give me a break.
I wish I was still in school at lunch time and they tried to take mine, big mistake to come between a dog and his food dish!
Where will it end?
I really feel sorry for the kids.
My youngest plays baseball and wrestles on the varsity team now for 3 years.
He weighs in at 189 to 196 but competes in the heavyweight class which goes all the way to 295 and has gone up against one that weighed in at 305 (and pinned him for the championship).
My boy stand 5' 6&1/2", you know how much a boy that size and is heavy into sports can eat and they want to give him three small portions of food and a 1/2 pint of milk.
He comes home, eats and then goes back to practice then comes home and eats again!
I am fine with that as long as he is active and stays with in his allowable weight.
The government just wants to controll everything about this country no matter what it is.
BS!!!
