7600 Carbine
« on: May 27, 2012, 12:00:47 AM »
I saw a pretty new 7600 Carbine in .30-06 with Leupold mounts and a Simmons 4X scope on it yesterday for $450.00 out the door.  What do you think?

I wouldn't have any use for one but you seem to like them so buy it.  :)

I would buy it since I do not have a pump action center fire rifle, but offer them 400.

IMHO anything over $400 is too much.

I have a Remmy 760 carbine in 3006 that I bought in 1987 with a 3-9x40 Weaver scope.   Paid $400 for it.   It has been my go to rifle for the past two decades.   I would offer $400 but in the end I  would definitely pay $450 OUT THE DOOR.    Thats a fair price these days for a darned good rifle that has brought me many hundreds of pounds of venison and pork.  Let us know what you do .

I didnt get my first 760 or 7600 until about five years ago and I trade a little or see something I think I really need and find that I am without one and thats when I clearly understand how I favor them and dont want to be 760 less.

The 760 and 7600 are very popular in Maine for woods hunting.

If you like that caliber why not? In my area New ones go for 575.00 to 635.00. I have been looking for one in 308 used and they aren't to be found. I can find 30-06, 270,243 but not the 308. I'm about to order one new if I found one for 450.00 I would be all over it if its the right caliber for you.

I think the receiver deminsions are the same for long or short action cartridges.  The 06 cases should do just fine.
