has anyone ever had or used one ,midway has them at a good price.

That is kind of surprising to me that Midway has them.  According to Leupold, the European 30 scopes are "manufactured for distribution to our international dealers and are not available to Leupold Dealers located in the United States. EUROPEAN-30 SCOPES ARE NOT SOLD IN THE U.S.A."  Never had an opportunity to look at one.

I guess that I should have re-phased my response to, that kind of surprises my that Leupold sold them to someone in the USA.

Midway probally didn't buy them from Leupold. They were probally bought second hand as new, and are now being re-sold in the U.S.. I got that same midway internet ad. I've never seen one until that ad. If you understand how the scope works, its probally a really good deal.
