Good luck with your recovery.  I found that 35 gr. Goex FFFg works great with .457 Round balls or .452 200-255 gr. conicals.  Hoping ot pick up some more powder as I'm getting low with all my shooting lately.  It really doesn't kick bad with the weight of these pistols either.  ;)

That's a nice piece of machinery, Lonewolf. I'll advise you to forget the "soon" on your rotator cuff surgery. That's the voice of experience talking. I had both of mine put back together last year.

I would have thought your surgeon would have explained about it being a long, slow recovery. Mine did and I kind of blew it off. I found out he knew what he was talking about. I had my right shoulder fixed on 1-5-11 and it took about a year for it to be 100% and completely pain free. I had the other done in October of last year and it has been back 100% in movement for a few weeks but I can still cause some discomfort in it if I strain too much. It just takes time and I'm very happy with the results. Some never recover to the 100% point.

slow recovery : I have about 9 months almost back in shape about 99 percent in motion but still not
completely pain free:
I find pushing power is weak but no problems other then that
I been shooting both Pistols and Rifles and do need a Past Shoulder recoil pad to be safe, this year I can shoot the 50 cal. inlines and the 30-06 but only take about 3 shots just to get back into the swing
I switch over to my 243 cal. and my flintlock both give me no problems

I took my replica Navy Arms rolling block chambered in 500-140--550 Sharps to the range in October and shot it using one of the Past strap-on recoil shield for shoulder protection. This thing is a real bear to shoot from the bench. I got off 7 shots without bothering my right shoulder.  No pain at all. It did make my neck hurt bad enough to quit shooting though.

That's 22 months after surgery. I can still make the left one hurt, especially when pushing after 13 months. Just takes time.
