h&r TRIGGERS?
« on: October 15, 2012, 04:34:57 AM »
I finally got to shoot the 22-250 barrel on my SB2 frame. WOW! what a tack driver! But the trigger was so gritty no matter what I tried my groups would pull off to the right by 2 inches at 25 yards. Though I consider a 10 shot sub 1 inch group acceptable I would like to know that at 100 yards and out I am not going to need a 2 MOA correction.

Is there a way (or a gifted gunsmith) to work these shotgun style triggers?

Or is there a replacement trigger I can buy?

Group size wise that little crack barrel shot better than my 22-250 AI mauser!

Hi,

Link below is from the H&R FAQs sticky thread and will walk you through a DIY trigger job.  There is other information in the FAQs sticky on improving a handi trigger, reading the FAQs, even if you don't do the work yourself, would be a good start on improving you rifle.  I believe that you can send your receiver to H&R for trigger work but you should verify that as I have never sent on in.

H&R will do trigger jobs too, see "Ilion Trigger Policy" in the FAQs.

Can verify that mine is at the factory for a trigger job as I type.  If fact I am hoping to be getting it back in the next week or two since it shipped out on Sept 26th.
