.45-70 BC
« on: October 19, 2012, 09:12:09 AM »
Just happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped in at Gander Mountain. They had a .45-70 BC. First one I have ever actually held in my hands. Felt real good in my hands. The bad feeling came from the $479.00 price tag. Is this a fair price or are they gouging?

I think it's a gouge job.  You can get one here for $383 :

That's a fair price..............for Gander Mt.   :D

I've seen used ones in nice condition, some even with tang sights on them at Cabela's for $300 to $350.

Gander Mt. is always a little higher than other big box stores.  But they have a great selection.  I think I paid right at $400 for mine at a local gun store a few years ago.  My LC9 came from Gander and was about $15 more than most places.

The Cabelas in Dundee, MI had two BCs in their gun library this morning.  Don't remember the exact price but where in the mid-300 buck range.
